Branding - Marina Espresso

Marina Espresso is a small, locally-owned cafe and roastery based in Wellington, New Zealand. Their original branding was created in 2009, and was in need of a fresh, modern update to complement the recent addition of an in-house roastery where they now create their own coffee blends to sell in-store and in high-end retailer, Moore Wilsons.

I took inspiration from the surrounding inlet for the blue, white and brown accented colour scheme and wave motif, while using a rounded, retro-inspired slab serif typeface for the logotype.

The rebrand included branding identity and guidelines, logo creation, print and packaging design, including the packaging used for the in-house roastery.
